This Friday 4th of August, Alessio Delle Vedove obtained his second succes of the season for Circus-ReUz-Technord by winning the bunch sprint in the third stage of the Tour de Namur. He lifted his hands in the air at the end of a stage of 151 kilometer between Walcourt and Mettet, which was perfectly controlled by the team directed by Christophe Prémont.
Already winner in the Kersenronde Mierlo earlier this season, a race of the U23 Road Series, Delle Vedove recently became vice European champion team pursuit in the U23 category with the Italian team. This Friday he rewarded the teamwork of Circus-ReUz-Technord, who was already represented in the top ten of the first two stages with Jelle Vermoote and Gerben Kuypers.
“I received the full confidence of the team for the sprint today. It made me very proud and motivated. During the whole race I was surrounded by my teammates, also on the climbs. It was our tactic to stay united in the front. I felt good all day long and we communicated perfectly. With this victory we showed once more that teamwork is our key to succes.”
