“When I discovered the time trial couse of 2025 was entirely flat, I knew it was a great opportunity for me to chase my first elite title in this discipline after winning the U23 time trial in 2019. For the past three weeks, my focus has been solely on this race. My trainer, Arno Claeys, and I devised a meticulous plan with time trial efforts, for example including a 20-minute test on the time trial bike to establish a pacing plan. During the race today, I admit I went out a bit strong in the first half, which made me slightly nervous. But I found my rhythm and held on strong all the way to the finish. I can't thank the team enough for all their efforts and the top-notch equipment, for example the Verge time trial suit and my Cube Aerium TT! After my next race on July 13th, I'll be heading back to Belgium for the rest of the season, and I'm beyond excited to race in the Japanese suit for Wanty-NIPPO-ReUz!"
