Biniam Girmay sprints to second in the fourth stage

This Friday 19th of January, Biniam Girmay achieved a second podium in the Tour Down Under. Also the fourth stage was decided in a bunch sprint in Port Elliott, after 136 kilometer of racing.

Girmay, with perfect support of his teammates from the first to the last kilometer, was only defeated by Sam Welsford on the line. It is his second podium in the event after his third place in the opening stage and his fourth top ten in the same number of stages.

In the general classification, Girmay is now in second place, one second behind leader Isaac Del Toro. Georg Zimmermann, eighth, accompanies him in the top ten before two stages for explosive riders and climbers. Intermarché-Wanty is in the lead of the team classification since day one.
