Alexander Kristoff wins the Scheldeprijs, his first solo victory in 13 years.
“It was my 83rd professional victory and my first ever solo. I won it after a hard and tactical race in difficult weather conditions. I attacked with 7 kilometers from the finish, and it was only 1500 meters from the end that I realized I could win. It was special to celebrate in the last hectometres, because all my other victories so far had been the results of sprints, after an effort until the finish line celebrated with adrenaline. This race will forever remain a special memory. »
