Zeno Moonen wins his homerace

"It's the most beautiful way to conclude a long week of racing, with four demanding races where we had to face the cobbles and the wind. This victory on my home turf, twenty minutes from my house, is a relief. I had been getting a lot of placings and I've been waiting for my second win in the U23 category for a very long time. It was incredibly close, we had to wait five minutes for the photo finish verdict. It's fantastic to beat a rider like Liam Van Bylen in the sprint. I chose his wheel for the last kilometer, but he waited a long time before launching his effort. That's why I launched the sprint myself, in the outside corner, and I was rewarded with the victory. It's the result of another great collective performance. We made the race hard, and when there was a split in the peloton in the last lap, Gilles Dockx pulled at the front for Victor Hannes and myself. Next, I'm really looking forward to participating in Paris-Roubaix U23, and I also hope to perform well in the Tour de Bretagne."
