“I went all-in to follow Pogacar's attack and join Mc Nulty and Simmons at the front. Mc Nulty was riding at a crazy speed, which made it very difficult to recover. I wanted to hang on during the climb, but as soon as I understood it would be impossible I accepted managing my effort to avoid blowing up. It was an intense battle for 4th place with Yates, Benoot and Powless. Unfortunately, I took the final 180° turn with a little too much speed and crashed. I only have a few scrapes, thankfully. After a difficult final at the GP Québec, I'm really happy to get this result on a race I particularly enjoy. Now, I'm heading to Belgium with Biniam Girmay and Alexander Kamp tonight for Wednesday's GP de Wallonie.”
