Andrea Pasqualon obtained his second top ten in three days this Tuesday, by taking seventh place in the sprint at the end of the Egmont Cycling Race. Just like last year, a bunch sprint decided about the outcome of this classic, which was divided in seven laps containing the cobbles of the Lippenhovestraat.
It was on one of these cobble sections with 80 kilometer to go that Tom Devriendt attacked behind the early breakaway. Trainee Dries De Pooter, who played an important role in Danny van Poppel’s victory last year, worked for Andrea Pasqualon this time before finishing sixteenth.
