Four riders of Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert Matériaux participated at the European Championships road race in the elite men’s category this Sunday. As expected, a bunch sprint decided about the outcome of the race in the streets of Munich and Alexander Kristoff (Norway) obtained eight place.
It is the third top ten in six participations for the recent winner of the Circuit Franco-Belge and the second time that the World Team is represented in the ten first finishers of this continental championship after sixth place of Xandro Meurisse in Glasgow.
Boy van Poppel (The Netherlands) and Aimé De Gendt (Belgium) guided their sprint trains towards the podium as their nations respectively won the gold and bronze medal. Barnabás Peák (Hungary) represented his country for the second consecutive time and finished 58th.
