Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert Matériaux concluded the week of national championships with the best harvest in its history. After two time trial titles (Girmay, Taaramäe), a silver medal (Peák) and two bronze medals (Peák, van der Hoorn), the World Team was represented in the road race of eight different countries this Sunday.
The French trio of the World Team raced on the circuit of Cholet, but not without bad luck in the final. Neopro Hugo Page touched the wheel in front of him and crashed, while his teammate Adrien Petit was leading the race in the penultimate lap. In the end, the trio reached the finish line in the small peloton which sprinted for sixth place. Petit took nineteenth place.
