After his fifth place on an explosive finish, Quinten Hermans finished sixth in a bunch sprint at the end of the second stage of the Tour de Romandie (2.UWT) this Thursday.
Thanks to Baptiste Planckaert, Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert Matériaux was represented in the early breakaway for the second consecutive day, enabling his teammates to hide in the peloton.
Once the breakaway was caught, Hermans focused on the sprint in the streets of Echallens in a peloton of around eighty riders. The Belgian rider obtained his fifth top ten of the season at the end of his twelfth race day of the year.
