This Friday, the GC contenders of the Tour de Suisse battled with each other in the sixth stage with finish on top of Moosalp. In addition to this final climb, the riders covered the Nufenenpass halfway through the race and both exceeded an altitude of 2000 meter.
Italian rider Andrea Pasqualon showed himself in the breakaway of the day. The winner of the Circuit de Wallonie led the race until the slopes of the final climb, where the favorites accelerated.
His compatriot Domenico Pozzovivo followed the best climbers until the top, finishing thirteenth in the same time of his GC competitors. His performance enabled him to climb into the top ten and to start the tenth stage with a new mountain top finish in ninth place in the provisional classification.
