First two women with pro contract
As part of the UCI Cyclocross Team, junior European champion Lauren Molengraaf and Belgian U23 champion Julie Brouwers became the first two female athletes in the history of Intermarché-Circus-Wanty to sign a professional contract with the structure.
"During her first year with the team, Lauren Molengraaf has shown that she is one of the most talented athletes of her generation. With us, she flourished in cyclocross and became one of the best in the junior category. She followed the footsteps of Zoe Bäckstedt and Marie Schreiber, who both began their development in our structure and immediately climbed to the World Tour. For her step up to the U23/Elite category, she was joined by Belgian U23 champion Julie Brouwers. I'm very happy that Lauren and Julie became the first female athletes to sign a professional contract with our structure and that they enabled Intermarché-Circus-Wanty to make the next step in women's cycling."
